So, I was talking about Hypnotic Tango by My Mine with Joe at a recent (umm.. not so recent, I guess) party. We were both applauding the wonders of Italo-Disco.
If it's good enough for Bananarama to sample it's good enough for me!

Thank you thank you thank you. A grateful 36 year old in rural England can remember buying this single as a 13 year old on an exchange trip to Limoges in France. It being a particularly grim two weeks I kept hearing this song which got completely under my skin. Until now I just thought it was a hit in France and nowhere else. I was obviously wrong. The same era saw me buying Gloria Gaynor's I am what I am and Somewhere by Barbra S, completely oblivious to any particular sensibilities which may have attached to the said records. Life is strange.
